SOMERSET, PA – Gaming technology is making a difference for residents of Schoolhouse Suites Personal Care at The Patriot, a not-for-profit Senior Choice Community.
Lucynt is video programming that creates a relaxing environment that promotes fun, activity, and cognitive stimulation.
The software introduced at The Patriot/Schoolhouse Suites in April 2021, offers more than 100 games designed to enhance eye-hand coordination, recollection of memories via pictures, or gaming either with group participation or individually.
“The enjoyment experienced by our residents, combined with the benefits of this program, is very rewarding,” said The Patriot Administrator Ron Burlingo. “The combination of mental and physical stimulation really makes this life-enriching program a very special addition to our care community.”
Lucynt is an interactive projection system that uses state-of-the art technology to track body movements and gestures. Whether it’s projected onto a table and activated by hand movement, or onto a floor and used with one’s entire body, the system creates a digital world of play that is therapeutic and fun.
The product of Arrowpoint Interactive of Colorado is based on technical research that creates positive results in the areas of emotion, social interaction, and physical activity.
