Unmasking Our Healthcare Heroes
After washing and drying about 1,200 pounds of laundry a day at The Patriot, Vickie Miller fortunately doesn’t have to take her work home.
“My husband does the laundry,” she laughed. “I don’t.”
Miller has been employed at The Patriot for 21 years. She’s thought about retiring, but cannot shake the family atmosphere with coworkers and residents.
“It’s so important to know that I’m helping,” she said with her trademark infectious smile. “I just enjoy the residents.”
In her spare time, the soft-spoken Miller enjoys spending time with her husband, son, daughter and four grandchildren. All of her grandchildren play baseball or softball in Somerset.
“I really miss going to games this summer,” she said.
